Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Take the porterhouse steak out of the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes before cooking.

  2. 2

    Season the Steak

Rub both sides of the steak with olive oil, then generously season with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Optionally, you can add a sprig of fresh rosemary on top.

  3. 3

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to high heat (approximately 450°F to 500°F).

  4. 4

    Grill the Steak

Place the steak on the grill and cook for about 6-7 minutes on one side. Flip and cook for another 6-7 minutes for medium-rare, or longer if desired.

  5. 5

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steak from the grill and let it rest for 5-10 minutes to allow the juices to redistribute.

  6. 6

    Serve

Slice the steak against the grain and serve it with your choice of sides.
