1. Prepare the Chicken
In a large bowl, combine flour, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Dredge the chicken breasts in the flour mixture until fully coated.
2. Fry the Chicken
Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the coated chicken breasts and fry for about 6-8 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and drain on paper towels.
3. Cook the Corn
Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add corn on the cob and cook for about 5-7 minutes until tender. Drain and serve with butter.
4. Make Mashed Potatoes
Peel and chop potatoes, then boil in salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes. Drain and mash with butter and milk until smooth. Season with salt to taste.
5. Prepare Gravy
In a saucepan, use the leftover oil from frying chicken to make a roux by adding equal parts flour and chicken broth. Cook until thickened, stirring constantly.
