Hot Popper Ingredients

Method

Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare Jalapeños

Slice the jalapeños in half lengthwise and remove the seeds. Set aside.

  2. 2

    Make Filling

In a bowl, mix the cream cheese with the smoked salmon until well combined.

  3. 3

    Stuff Jalapeños

Fill each jalapeño half with the smoked salmon and cream cheese mixture.

  4. 4

    Prepare Tempura Batter

In a separate bowl, combine the tempura batter mix with cold water according to package instructions to create a smooth batter.

  5. 5

    Heat Oil

In a deep frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until hot.

  6. 6

    Coat and Fry

Dip each stuffed jalapeño in the tempura batter and carefully place in the hot oil. Fry until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes, then remove and drain on paper towels.

  7. 7

    Assemble Hot Popper

Place a fried jalapeño popper on a sheet of soy paper, drizzle with sriracha, and roll up tightly. Repeat with the remaining poppers.

  8. 8

    Serve

Cut the rolled hot poppers into bite-sized pieces and serve immediately.
