Method
Wrap Preparation
Prepare the Meat
In a large bowl, combine ground lamb or beef with garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix until the spices are evenly distributed throughout the meat.
Cook the Meat
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Once hot, add the meat mixture and cook, breaking it apart with a spatula, until browned and cooked through, about 8-10 minutes.
Warm the Pita Bread
While the meat is cooking, warm the pita bread in a separate skillet or in the microwave for about 20-30 seconds, until soft and pliable.
Assembly
Prepare the Toppings
Wash the lettuce thoroughly and chop it into bite-sized pieces. Dice the tomato into small cubes.
Assemble the Wrap
On each warmed pita bread, layer a portion of the cooked meat, followed by a handful of lettuce, diced tomato, and a generous dollop of tzatziki sauce.
Wrap and Serve
Fold the sides of the pita over the filling and roll it tightly from the bottom up to form a wrap. Serve immediately while warm.
