Preparation

Preparing the Burger Patties

1. Mix Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground halal beef, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, paprika, egg, and breadcrumbs. Mix until all ingredients are well incorporated.

2. Form Patties

Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape each portion into a round patty, about 1 inch thick.

3. Refrigerate

Place the patties on a plate and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to help them firm up.

Cooking the Patties

4. Preheat Grill or Pan

Preheat a grill or frying pan over medium-high heat. You can lightly grease the pan with oil if desired.

5. Cook Patties

Once hot, place the patties on the grill or pan. Cook for about 5-7 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for another 5-7 minutes until fully cooked and browned.

6. Add Cheese (Optional)

If using cheese, place a slice on each patty during the last minute of cooking to melt.

Assembling the Burgers

7. Toast Buns

While the patties are cooking, you can toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until lightly golden.

8. Build the Burger

On the bottom half of each bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by the cooked patty. Add tomato slices, and drizzle with ketchup and mustard to taste. Top with the other half of the bun.
