Base Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Boil Water

In a medium-sized pot, bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil over high heat.

  2. 2

    Brew Tea

Once the water is boiling, remove it from the heat and add the black tea bags. Steep for 5-7 minutes, depending on your desired strength.

  3. 3

    Sweeten Tea

After steeping, remove the tea bags and stir in 1 cup of sugar until fully dissolved.

Flavoring

  1. 4

    Add Flavorings

Stir in 1 cup of fresh lemon juice and 1 cup of fresh berries into the sweetened tea. You can crush the berries slightly to release their juices.

  2. 5

    Add Mint

Add mint leaves to the mixture, adjusting the amount to your taste preference.

Chill and Serve

  1. 6

    Chill

Allow the fruit tea to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or until well chilled.

  2. 7

    Serve

Serve the fruit tea over ice, garnished with additional mint leaves and fresh berries if desired.
