Hibachi Filet Mignon Ingredients

Method

Cooking Directions

1

Marinate the Steaks

In a bowl, mix soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and black pepper. Place the filet mignon in a resealable bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over the steaks. Seal or cover, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

2

Preheat the Grill or Pan

Preheat your hibachi grill or a heavy skillet over medium-high heat. If using a grill, oil the grates lightly.

3

Cook the Steaks

Remove the steaks from the marinade and let any excess drip off. Place the steaks on the grill or in the skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness.

4

Add Butter and Green Onions

In the last minute of cooking, add butter to the pan or grill and top the steaks with chopped green onions. Let the butter melt and baste the steaks.

5

Rest and Serve

Remove the steaks from the heat and let them rest for 5 minutes. Serve with lemon wedges on the side.
