Flank Steak Marinade

Method

Preparation and Cooking

1

Marinate the Steak

In a mixing bowl, combine the grated ginger, soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, minced garlic, sesame oil, and black pepper. Stir well to create the marinade. Place the flank steak in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over it. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or preferably overnight for maximum flavor.

2

Cook the Steak

Preheat your grill or a skillet over medium-high heat. Remove the flank steak from the marinade, allowing excess marinade to drip off. Grill or sear the steak for about 5-7 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until it reaches your desired doneness.

3

Rest and Slice

Once cooked, remove the steak from the heat and let it rest for about 5 minutes. Then, slice the steak thinly against the grain.

4

Serve

Arrange the sliced steak on a platter, drizzle with any remaining marinade (if desired), and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds. Serve immediately.
