Prepare the Brussels Sprouts
Trim the ends of the Brussels sprouts and remove any yellow or damaged leaves. Cut them in half lengthwise.
Sauté the Garlic
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
Add the Brussels Sprouts
Add the halved Brussels sprouts to the skillet and season with salt and black pepper. Sauté for about 5 minutes until they start to brown.
Braise the Sprouts
Pour in the vegetable broth and balsamic vinegar. Bring to a simmer, cover the skillet, and let it cook for about 15-20 minutes until the Brussels sprouts are tender.
Finish and Serve
Remove the lid and let the liquid reduce for an additional 5 minutes. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese before serving.
