1. Marinate the Steak

In a large bowl, combine soy sauce, olive oil, red wine vinegar, minced garlic, black pepper, onion powder, ground mustard, and sugar. Whisk together until well blended.

2. Add the Flank Steak

Place the flank steak in the marinade, ensuring it is fully coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.

3. Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.

4. Grill the Steak

Remove the steak from the marinade and let excess marinade drip off. Grill the steak for about 6–8 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness.

5. Rest and Slice

Remove the steak from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes. Slice thinly against the grain to serve.

6. Serve

Serve the sliced steak with your choice of sautéed onions, mushrooms, jalapeños, or peppers as toppings.
