Brewing the Tea

Boil Water
In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil over high heat.

Add Tea
Once the water reaches a boil, remove it from heat and add 4 teaspoons of loose black tea or 4 tea bags. Stir gently.

Steep the Tea
Cover the saucepan and let the tea steep for 5-7 minutes, depending on how strong you prefer your tea.

Strain the Tea
If using loose tea, strain the tea into a pitcher. If using tea bags, simply remove the bags.
Chilling the Tea

Add Ice
Add 2 cups of ice cubes to the pitcher to cool the tea quickly. Stir gently to mix.

Pour the iced tea into glasses and garnish with lemon slices and fresh mint leaves if desired.
