Mock Duck Ingredients

Method

Mock Duck Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Seitan

In a mixing bowl, break the seitan into bite-sized pieces.

  2. 2

    Marinate

In a separate bowl, mix soy sauce, vegetable broth, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Pour over seitan and let marinate for at least 30 minutes.

  3. 3

    Sauté Vegetables

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced bell pepper and mushrooms, and sauté until soft, about 5-7 minutes.

  4. 4

    Cook Seitan

Add the marinated seitan to the skillet and cook for another 5-10 minutes until heated through.

  5. 5

    Thicken Sauce

In a small bowl, mix cornstarch with water to create a slurry. Stir it into the skillet and cook until the sauce thickens, about 2-3 minutes.

  6. 6

    Finish with Green Onions

Stir in chopped green onions and cook for an additional minute. Serve hot.
