Method
Queso Preparation

Melt the Cream Cheese
In a medium saucepan over low heat, add the cream cheese and stir until melted and smooth.

Add Cheeses and Milk
Gradually add the sharp cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese to the melted cream cheese, stirring constantly. Pour in the milk and continue to stir until the cheeses are fully melted and the mixture is creamy.

Incorporate Additional Ingredients
Stir in the diced tomatoes with green chiles, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. Mix well and let it simmer on low heat for about 5 minutes.
Tortilla Chips Preparation

Heat the Oil
In a deep frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until hot but not smoking.

Cut the Tortillas
Cut each corn tortilla into 6 triangles to create chip shapes.

Fry the Chips
Carefully add the tortilla triangles to the hot oil in batches. Fry until they are golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Season the Chips
While the chips are still hot, sprinkle with salt to taste.
