Method

Waffles

  1. 1

    Prepare the Waffle Batter

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.

  2. 2

    Mix Wet Ingredients

In another bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.

  3. 3

    Combine Mixtures

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix; small lumps are okay.

  4. 4

    Preheat the Waffle Iron

Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions.

  5. 5

    Cook the Waffles

Pour the batter onto the preheated waffle iron and cook until golden brown and crisp, usually about 4-5 minutes.

Sausage & Egg

  1. 6

    Cook the Sausage

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage patties until browned and cooked through, about 3-4 minutes per side.

  2. 7

    Cook the Eggs

In the same skillet, crack the eggs and cook to your desired doneness (sunny-side up, over-easy, etc.).

  3. 8

    Add Cheese

Top each egg with a slice of cheese and let it melt slightly.

Breakfast Potatoes

  1. 9

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel and dice the potatoes into small cubes.

  2. 10

    Season the Potatoes

In a large bowl, toss the diced potatoes with olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.

  3. 11

    Cook the Potatoes

Spread the potatoes on a baking sheet and bake at 425°F (220°C) for 25-30 minutes, or until golden and crispy, flipping halfway through.

Serving

  1. 12

    Plate the Dish

Serve the waffles topped with a sausage patty and egg with melted cheese. Add a side of breakfast potatoes.

  2. 13

    Add Syrup

Drizzle with maple syrup to taste before serving.
