Mint Lemonade Ingredients

Method

Mint Lemonade Directions

1

Prepare the Mint Syrup

In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of water and 1 cup of granulated sugar. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar is completely dissolved. Add the fresh mint leaves and allow the mixture to simmer for about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let it steep for 15 minutes, then strain the syrup into a bowl, discarding the mint leaves.

2

Juice the Lemons

While the mint syrup is steeping, juice the 4 fresh lemons to extract the juice. You should have about 1 cup of lemon juice. Set aside.

3

Combine Ingredients

In a large pitcher, combine the mint syrup, lemon juice, and the remaining 3 cups of water. Stir well to combine.

4

Serve

Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the mint lemonade over the ice. Garnish with fresh mint leaves and lemon slices if desired.
