Prepare the Mascarpone Mixture

Whip the Cream
In a large mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream using an electric mixer until soft peaks form. This should take about 3-5 minutes.

Fold in the Whipped Cream
Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until fully combined. Be careful not to deflate the whipped cream.
Assemble the Tiramisu

Prepare Coffee Mixture
In a shallow dish, combine the cooled espresso coffee and coffee liqueur (if using). Mix well.

Dip Ladyfingers
Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture, ensuring they are soaked but not soggy.

Layer the Ingredients
In a rectangular serving dish, create a layer of soaked ladyfingers at the bottom. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers. Repeat with another layer of dipped ladyfingers and top with the remaining mascarpone mixture.
Chill and Serve

Dust with Cocoa Powder
Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight. Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder using a sifter.
