Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chicken

In a bowl, mix olive oil, minced fresh rosemary, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Rub this mixture all over the chicken chops and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Cook the Rice

In a saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Add 1 cup of rice and a pinch of salt. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes or until the water is absorbed.

  3. 3

    Sear the Chicken

Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add a little olive oil and sear the marinated chicken chops for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.

  4. 4

    Roast the Chicken

Transfer the seared chicken chops to a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) and roast for 15-20 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and tender.

  5. 5

    Prepare the Salad

In a bowl, mix the mixed greens with lemon juice, salt, and pepper to taste.

  6. 6

    Serve

Serve the chicken chops with the rice, salad, lavash bread, and slices of green bell pepper on the side.
