Preparation Steps
- 1
Prepare the Rice
Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear. In a pot, add 2 cups of water for every cup of rice and bring to a boil. Once boiling, add the rice, reduce heat to low, cover, and let it cook for about 15-20 minutes or until all the water is absorbed. Fluff with a fork and set aside.
- 2
Make the Kebap Mixture
In a large bowl, combine the ground lamb, chili powder, paprika, and salt. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly combined.
- 3
Shape the Kebaps
Take a handful of the kebap mixture and mold it around skewers, shaping them into long sausage-like forms.
- 4
Grill the Kebaps
Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Grill the kebaps for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until fully cooked and slightly charred.
- 5
Prepare the Salad
While the kebaps are grilling, prepare a simple green salad with your choice of greens, tomatoes, and cucumbers. Dress with olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and pepper to taste.
- 6
Serve
Serve the grilled Adana Kebaps with warm lavash bread, a side of rice, and the fresh green salad. Optionally, add grilled green peppers as a garnish.
