Beef Shawarma Ingredients

Method

Beef Shawarma Preparation

1

Marinate the Beef

In a large bowl, combine minced garlic, ground cumin, ground coriander, ground paprika, ground turmeric, cinnamon, olive oil, salt, black pepper, and lemon juice. Add the beef and coat well with the marinade. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.

2

Cook the Beef

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Remove the beef from the marinade and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until desired doneness is reached. Let the beef rest for 5 minutes before slicing thinly.

3

Prepare the Tahini Sauce

In a small bowl, mix tahini with water, lemon juice, garlic, and salt until smooth. Adjust consistency with more water if needed.

4

Serve

Serve the sliced beef in pita or on a plate with tahini sauce drizzled on top. Optionally, serve with a side of salsa arabe.
