Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Mashed Potatoes

Add butter, milk, salt, and pepper to the potatoes and mash until smooth. Set aside.

  2. 2

    Cook the Spinach

In a skillet, add a bit of butter over medium heat. Add the fresh spinach and sauté until wilted, about 3-5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Remove from heat.

  3. 3

    Make the Mushroom Demi-Glace

In the same skillet, add the remaining butter and sauté the diced mushrooms until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.

  4. 4

    Combine and Serve

Add the beef broth to the skillet with mushrooms and bring to a simmer. Cook for 5 minutes to thicken. Form the ground chuck into patties and season with salt and pepper. Cook the patties in a separate skillet over medium heat for about 4-5 minutes on each side until cooked to your desired doneness.

  5. 5

    Plate the Dish

On each plate, serve a scoop of mashed potatoes, a portion of sautéed spinach, and a chop steak patty topped with mushroom demi-glace. Enjoy!
