Method

Preparation Steps

  1. 1

    Prepare the Baguette

Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F). Slice the baguette into 1/2 inch thick slices and arrange them on a baking sheet.

  2. 2

    Toast the Crostini

Brush the sliced baguette with olive oil on both sides. Toast in the preheated oven for about 5-7 minutes or until golden brown.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Tomato Mixture

While the bread is toasting, dice the fresh tomatoes and finely chop the basil and garlic. In a bowl, combine the diced tomatoes, chopped basil, minced garlic, and 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Mix well and season with salt and pepper to taste.

  4. 4

    Spread Goat Cheese

Once the crostini are toasted, remove them from the oven and spread a generous amount of goat cheese on each slice.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Bruschetta

Top each goat cheese crostini with the tomato mixture. Drizzle balsamic syrup over the top before serving.

  6. 6

    Serve

Arrange the bruschetta on a platter and serve warm.
