Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Glaze

In a saucepan, combine maple syrup, bourbon, and BBQ sauce. Simmer over medium heat for about 10 minutes until slightly thickened. Set aside.

  2. 2

    Cook the Pork Chops

Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Season the pork chops with olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Grill the chops for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 145°F. Brush the glaze on both sides during the last few minutes of grilling.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Candied Bacon

Preheat oven to 375°F. Place bacon on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes until crispy. Optionally, brush with a little maple syrup before baking for extra sweetness.

  4. 4

    Make the Mashed Potatoes

Peel and dice the potatoes, then boil them in salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes. Drain and return to the pot. Add butter, milk, salt, and black pepper. Mash until smooth and creamy.

  5. 5

    Cook the Green Beans

In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add green beans and cook for about 5-7 minutes until tender but still bright green. Drain and season with olive oil, salt, and pepper.

  6. 6

    Serve

Plate the grilled pork chop, drizzle with remaining maple bourbon BBQ glaze, add a side of mashed potatoes and green beans, and top with candied bacon.
