Meatballs and Sauce
Method
Preparation and Cooking
- 1
Prepare the Meatballs
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, bread crumbs, parmesan cheese, parsley, garlic, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- 2
Form the Meatballs
Shape the mixture into 2 oz meatballs, about the size of a golf ball.
- 3
Cook the Meatballs
In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil. Once hot, add the meatballs and cook until browned on all sides, about 8-10 minutes.
- 4
Add Marinara Sauce
Pour marinara sauce over the browned meatballs and let simmer for 10 minutes until the meatballs are cooked through.
- 5
Prepare the Crostini
While the meatballs are simmering, preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Place sliced baguette on a baking sheet, drizzle with olive oil, and toast in the oven for about 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
- 6
Serve
Serve meatballs topped with mozzarella cheese, allowing it to melt slightly, alongside the toasted crostini.
