Chicken Tenders

Method

Cooking Instructions

1

Marinate the Chicken

In a large bowl, combine the buttermilk, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. Add the chicken breast pieces and ensure they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best results.

2

Prepare for Frying

In one bowl, place the all-purpose flour. In a second bowl, beat the eggs. In a third bowl, place the breadcrumbs. Set up an assembly line with these three bowls.

3

Coat the Chicken

Remove the marinated chicken from the refrigerator. Take each piece, first dip it in the flour, then in the beaten eggs, and finally coat it with breadcrumbs. Ensure each piece is well coated.

4

Heat the Oil

In a large skillet or frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

5

Fry the Chicken Tenders

Carefully place the coated chicken tenders in the hot oil, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 5-7 minutes per side or until golden brown and cooked through. Use a meat thermometer to ensure they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).

6

Drain and Serve

Once cooked, remove the chicken tenders from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauces.
