Ingredients for Fried Banana Pepper Rings

Method

Instructions for Preparing Fried Banana Pepper Rings

  1. 1

    Prepare the Banana Peppers

Slice the banana peppers into rings, removing the seeds if desired.

  2. 2

    Marinate in Buttermilk

Place the banana pepper rings in a bowl and cover them with buttermilk. Allow them to marinate for at least 30 minutes.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Coating

In a separate bowl, mix the Weisenberger flour, salt, and black pepper.

  4. 4

    Heat the Oil

In a deep frying pan or pot, heat the oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  5. 5

    Coat the Peppers

Remove the banana pepper rings from the buttermilk and allow excess to drip off. Dredge the rings in the flour mixture until fully coated.

  6. 6

    Fry the Rings

Carefully place the coated banana pepper rings into the hot oil in batches, frying until golden brown (about 3-4 minutes). Remove and drain on paper towels.

  7. 7

    Serve

Serve the fried banana pepper rings hot with cocktail sauce and smoked tomato ranch on the side.
