Method

Pulled Pork Preparation

  1. 1

    Season the Pork

In a bowl, mix smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt. Rub this mixture all over the pork shoulder.

  2. 2

    Cook the Pork

Place the seasoned pork shoulder in a slow cooker. Add water and cover. Cook on low for 8 hours or until the meat is tender and easily pulls apart.

  3. 3

    Shred the Pork

Once cooked, remove the pork shoulder from the slow cooker and shred the meat using two forks. Mix in BBQ sauce until well combined.

Coleslaw Preparation

  1. 4

    Mix the Coleslaw Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine shredded cabbage, shredded carrots, mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until everything is evenly coated.

  2. 5

    Chill the Coleslaw

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

Assembling the Slawpy Pig

  1. 6

    Choose Your Meat

Select your choice of meat from pulled pork, brisket, turkey, or sausage.

  2. 7

    Assemble the Dish

On a plate, create a generous pile of your chosen meat, then top it with a heaping serving of the coleslaw.
