Burger Patties
Buns and Toppings
Method
Prepare the Patties
- 1
Mix the Meat
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef and ground pork. Season with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix until well combined.
- 2
Form the Patties
Divide the meat mixture into 8 equal portions and shape them into patties, about 1/2 inch thick.
Cook the Patties
- 3
Preheat the Grill
Preheat your grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.
- 4
Grill the Patties
Place the patties on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
- 5
Add Cheese
In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each patty and close the grill lid to melt the cheese.
Assemble the Stackers
- 6
Toast the Buns
While the patties are cooking, you can toast the burger buns on the grill until lightly golden.
- 7
Layer Ingredients
On the bottom half of each toasted bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by a slice of tomato, a grilled patty with melted cheese, and a few pickle slices.
- 8
Add BBQ Sauce
Drizzle BBQ sauce over the top of the patty, and stack another patty on top for the double meat effect.
- 9
Finish the Stackers
Top with the other half of the bun and secure with a skewer if needed. Repeat for all stackers.
