Spring Roll Filling

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Vegetables

Wash and dry all the fresh vegetables. Julienne the carrot and cucumber into thin strips.

  2. 2

    Soften the Rice Paper Wrappers

In a shallow dish, fill it with warm water. Dip one rice paper wrapper into the water for about 10-15 seconds until it’s soft but not too soggy. Remove it and lay it flat on a clean surface.

  3. 3

    Assemble the Spring Rolls

Place a lettuce leaf in the center of the softened rice paper, followed by a few basil and cilantro leaves, a handful of bean sprouts, and a small amount of julienned carrot and cucumber.

  4. 4

    Roll the Spring Rolls

Fold the sides of the rice paper over the filling. Then, starting from the bottom, roll it tightly upward until you reach the top. Repeat with the remaining wrappers.

  5. 5

    Prepare the Dipping Sauce

Serve the spring rolls with a sweet-hot dipping sauce of your choice.
