Spring Roll Filling

Method

Preparation Steps

  1. 1

    Prepare the Filling

In a large pan, heat vegetable oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.

  2. 2

Add chopped mushrooms, julienned carrots, and shredded cabbage. Stir-fry for 5-7 minutes until vegetables are tender.

  3. 3

Stir in soy sauce, salt, and pepper. Cook for an additional 2 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Spring Rolls

Soak rice paper wrappers in warm water for about 10-15 seconds until softened. Lay on a flat surface.

  5. 5

Place a small amount of the vegetable filling on the bottom third of the wrapper. Add bean sprouts, Thai basil, cilantro, and a lettuce leaf.

  6. 6

Fold the sides over the filling, then roll tightly from the bottom up. Repeat with remaining wrappers and filling.

  7. 7

    Prepare the Dipping Sauce

In a small bowl, mix sweet chili sauce with lime juice. Add Sriracha sauce to taste.

  8. 8

Serve the spring rolls with the dipping sauce on the side.
