Marinated Shiitake Mushrooms

Method

Preparation and Serving

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a bowl, combine the chopped coriander, minced garlic, soy sauce, olive oil, ground cumin, ground black pepper, and salt. Mix well to create a marinade.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Mushrooms

Add the shiitake mushrooms to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover the bowl and let the mushrooms marinate for at least 30 minutes.

  3. 3

    Skewer the Mushrooms

After marinating, thread 4 mushrooms onto each skewer. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium heat.

  4. 4

    Grill the Skewers

Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally, until the mushrooms are tender and have grill marks.

  5. 5

    Prepare Chili Vinegar Dipping Sauce

In a small bowl, mix together vinegar, chopped chili, and a pinch of salt for the dipping sauce.

  6. 6

    Serve

Serve the grilled shiitake mushroom skewers hot with the chili vinegar dipping sauce on the side.
