For the Marinade

Method

Marination and Grilling

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a large bowl, combine turmeric powder, minced garlic, grated ginger, coriander powder, cumin powder, soy sauce, brown sugar, lime juice, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to form a marinade.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Pork

Add the cubed pork shoulder to the marinade. Ensure all pieces are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight for the best flavor.

  3. 3

    Skewer the Pork

After marinating, thread the pork cubes onto soaked bamboo skewers, leaving a little space between each piece.

  4. 4

    Grill the Skewers

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Brush the grill grates with vegetable oil to prevent sticking. Grill the skewers for about 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until cooked through and slightly charred.

  5. 5

    Serve

Remove the skewers from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy your Nonya Pork Skewers hot!
