Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Prawns

In a bowl, season the prawns with salt, black pepper, and minced garlic. Let it marinate for about 15 minutes.

  2. 2

    Coat the Prawns

Add cornstarch to the marinated prawns and toss until evenly coated.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Oat Mixture

In a separate bowl, combine the dried oats and chopped Thai chili.

  4. 4

    Coat with Oats

Take each cornstarch-coated prawn and press it into the oat mixture, ensuring it is well coated.

  5. 5

    Heat the Oil

In a deep frying pan or wok, heat the oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 180°C (350°F).

  6. 6

    Fry the Prawns

Carefully add the coated prawns to the hot oil in batches. Fry until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side.

  7. 7

    Drain and Serve

Remove the prawns from the oil and drain on paper towels. Serve hot as an appetizer.
