Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Marinate the Tuna

In a bowl, mix finely chopped shallot, minced garlic, turmeric powder, olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Add the ahi tuna and coat it well. Cover and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Sear the Tuna

Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated tuna and sear for about 1-2 minutes on each side, depending on your desired level of doneness. The center should remain rare.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Dish

Remove the tuna from the skillet and let it rest for a moment. Slice it thinly against the grain. Arrange the slices on a plate, sprinkle with chopped almonds and fresh dill.

  4. 4

    Serve

Serve immediately as a main dish or appetizer, garnished with additional dill and almonds if desired.
