Chicken Tenders
Method
Preparation
- 1
Marinate the Chicken
In a bowl, combine the buttermilk, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Add the chicken tenders and ensure they are fully coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight for better flavor.
- 2
Prepare the Coating
In a separate bowl, mix together the flour and cornstarch. This will be used for coating the chicken.
- 3
Heat the Oil
In a large skillet or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 4
Coat and Fry the Chicken
Remove the chicken tenders from the marinade and shake off excess. Dredge each tender in the flour-cornstarch mixture, pressing firmly to adhere. Fry in batches, cooking each tender for about 5-7 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through. Drain on paper towels.
- 5
Prepare the Dip
In a small bowl, combine the plain yogurt, curry powder, honey, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until smooth.
- 6
Serve
Serve the fried chicken tenders hot with the curry spiced dip on the side.
