Meatballs Preparation

Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Mix the Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, eggs, chopped parsley, salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning. Mix until well combined.

Form the Meatballs
Using your hands, form the mixture into meatballs, about 1-1.5 inches in diameter. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake the Meatballs
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until cooked through and browned.

Add Tomatoes and Seasoning
Pour in the crushed tomatoes and add dried basil, dried oregano, salt, black pepper, and sugar. Stir well to combine.

Simmer the Sauce
Bring the sauce to a simmer, then reduce heat to low. Let it simmer for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Prepare the Bread
Slice the French bread in half lengthwise and place on a baking sheet.

In a small bowl, combine softened butter, garlic powder, grated Parmesan cheese, and chopped parsley.

Spread the butter mixture evenly over the cut sides of the French bread.
