Preparing the Croutons

Make the Croutons
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Cut the bread into small cubes. In a bowl, toss the bread cubes with olive oil, garlic powder, and salt until evenly coated. Spread them out in a single layer on a baking sheet.

Bake the Croutons
Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-15 minutes or until golden brown and crispy, stirring halfway through. Remove from oven and let cool.

Mix the Dressing
In a bowl, combine mayonnaise, minced garlic, chopped anchovy fillets, lemon juice, grated Parmesan cheese, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Whisk until smooth and well blended. Adjust seasoning to taste and set aside.

Grill the Romaine
Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Place the romaine halves cut-side down on the grill. Grill for about 2-3 minutes until charred and slightly wilted. Remove from heat.
Assembling the Salad

On a serving platter, place the grilled romaine halves. Drizzle with the prepared Caesar dressing, top with croutons, and sprinkle with shaved Parmesan cheese. Serve immediately.
