Preparation Instructions
1. Prepare the Pickles
If you haven't done so already, prepare the pickled carrots and daikon radish by soaking them in a mixture of vinegar, sugar, and salt for at least 1 hour.
2. Slice the Baguette
Cut the French baguette lengthwise, creating a pocket for the filling. Lightly toast the baguette if desired.
3. Layer the Ingredients
Spread mayonnaise on both sides of the baguette. Layer the sliced pork loin and Vietnamese pork sausage inside the baguette.
4. Add Vegetables and Seasoning
Add pickled carrots, pickled daikon radish, cucumber slices, fresh cilantro, and jalapeño slices (if using) on top of the meat. Drizzle with soy sauce and sprinkle with salt to taste.
5. Assemble the Sandwich
Close the baguette and press gently to hold everything together. Slice into portions if desired.
