Burger Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Mac and Cheese
In a pot, cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside. In the same pot, melt butter over medium heat, stir in flour, and cook for 1 minute. Gradually whisk in milk, and cook until thickened. Stir in cheddar cheese, mustard powder, and paprika until smooth. Mix in the cooked macaroni and set aside.
- 2
Cook the Bacon
In a skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and place on paper towels to drain.
- 3
Cook the Burger
Season the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Form into two patties. In the same skillet used for the bacon, cook the patties over medium-high heat for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until cooked to your desired doneness.
- 4
Assemble the Burger
Place a burger patty on the bottom half of each bun. Generously top with the mac and cheese and add two slices of bacon on top. Close with the top half of the bun and serve.
