Mac 'n' Cheese

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Macaroni

In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  2. 2

    Make the Cheese Sauce

In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Stir in the flour and cook for about 1 minute. Gradually whisk in the milk, cooking until the mixture thickens. Stir in the cheddar cheese, salt, pepper, and paprika until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.

  3. 3

    Combine Pasta and Sauce

In a large bowl, combine the cooked macaroni and cheese sauce, mixing well to coat the pasta evenly.

  4. 4

    Prepare for Baking

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Roll out the signature dough and place it into a greased baking dish, leaving some dough hanging over the edges.

  5. 5

    Fill and Bake

Pour the mac 'n' cheese mixture into the dough-lined dish. Fold the overhanging dough over the top of the mac 'n' cheese. Sprinkle bread crumbs on top. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the top is golden brown.

  6. 6

    Serve

Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before slicing. Serve warm.
