Preparation

Preparing the Lemonade Base

1. Start by washing the fresh lemons under cold water to remove any dirt or pesticides.

2. Cut the lemons in half and juice them until you have 1 cup of lemon juice. You can use a citrus juicer or squeeze by hand.

3. In a medium saucepan, combine the fresh lemon juice and granulated sugar.

4. Add 1 cup of water to the saucepan and stir over medium heat until the sugar is fully dissolved.

5. Once the sugar is dissolved, remove the saucepan from heat and let the mixture cool.
