Cooking Instructions

1

Cook the Rigatoni

In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the rigatoni according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

2

Prepare the Bolognese Sauce

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion, carrot, and celery. Sauté until the vegetables are soft, about 5 minutes.

3

Add the Meat

Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon, about 7-8 minutes.

4

Incorporate the Garlic and Tomato

Stir in the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant. Add the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, red wine, beef broth, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Stir to combine.

5

Simmer the Sauce

Bring the sauce to a simmer. Reduce heat to low and let it cook for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

6

Combine with Pasta

Add the cooked rigatoni to the sauce and toss to coat. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to heat through.

7

Serve

Serve hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese.
