Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Espresso Butter

In a small bowl, mix the softened butter with espresso powder. Stir until well combined and set aside.

  2. 2

    Cook the Hash Browns

In a skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the frozen hash browns, season with salt and pepper, and cook until golden brown and crispy, about 8-10 minutes. Stir occasionally.

  3. 3

    Sauté the Mushrooms and Onions

In another skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced onions and cook until translucent, about 3 minutes. Add sliced mushrooms and continue to sauté until they are soft and browned, about 5 more minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  4. 4

    Cook the Steak

Season the top sirloin cap steak with salt and pepper. Heat a grill or skillet over high heat and cook the steak for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness. Let the steak rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

  5. 5

    Cook the Eggs

In a non-stick pan, cook the eggs to your liking (fried, scrambled, or poached). Season with salt and pepper.

  6. 6

    Assemble the Plate

On a plate, serve the sliced steak topped with espresso butter, alongside the sautéed mushrooms and onions, the cooked eggs, and a side of loaded hash browns.
