Baking Directions
- 1
Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9x13 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- 2
Mix Wet Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, melt the unsalted butter. Once melted, add the brown sugar and granulated sugar. Mix until well combined. Add in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, followed by the vanilla extract.
- 3
Combine Dry Ingredients
In another bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- 4
Combine Mixtures
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix. If using, fold in the chocolate chips.
- 5
Bake
Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- 6
Cool and Serve
Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Cut into squares and serve.
