Method
Marinating the Steak
Prepare Marinade
In a bowl, combine lime juice, olive oil, minced garlic, soy sauce, ground cumin, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
Marinate the Steak
Place the sirloin steak in a resealable plastic bag and pour the marinade over it. Seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, up to overnight.
Cooking the Rice
Cook Rice
In a saucepan, combine 1 cup of white rice, 2 cups of water, and 1 tsp of salt. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 18-20 minutes or until rice is tender.
Grilling the Steak
Preparing the Salad
Assemble Salad
In a large bowl, combine mixed greens, cherry tomatoes, and sliced cucumber. Drizzle with olive oil and balsamic vinegar, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Toss to combine.
Baking the Orange Rolls
Prepare Dough
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Cut in softened butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in milk, orange zest, and orange juice until just combined.
Bake Rolls
Spoon dough into greased muffin tins. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
