Method
Preparation
Make the Dough
In a large bowl, combine the warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.
Combine Ingredients
Add the olive oil, salt, and flour to the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms.
Knead the Dough
Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Let it Rise
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).
Shape the Pizza Base
Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out onto a pizza stone or baking sheet.
Add Toppings
Spread the tomato sauce over the base, then add mozzarella cheese, bell peppers, mushrooms, red onion, olives, and spinach. Sprinkle with oregano and black pepper.
Bake the Pizza
Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
Serve
Remove from the oven, let cool for a few minutes, slice, and enjoy your vegetarian pizza!
