Ingredients for Adult Grilled Cheese

Method

Instructions for Preparing Adult Grilled Cheese

  1. 1

    Prepare the Patty

In a large mixing bowl, combine ground chuck, brisket, and short rib. Mix well and form into 2 equal patties, about 1/2 inch thick.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patty

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.

  3. 3

    Toast the Buns

In a separate skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Place the potato buns cut-side down in the skillet and toast until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Sandwich

On the bottom half of each toasted bun, place the cooked patty, followed by cheese slices, lettuce, tomato, pickles, and onion if desired. Top with the other half of the bun.

  5. 5

    Grill the Sandwich

In the same skillet, melt the remaining tablespoon of butter. Place the assembled sandwiches in the skillet and grill for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the cheese melts and the buns are crispy.

  6. 6

    Serve

Serve warm with your choice of fries, sweet potato fries, apple slaw, or a cup of soup.
