Pizza Dough & Stuffing

Method

Preparation & Baking

  1. 1

    Make the Dough

In a large bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes until foamy. Stir in olive oil, salt, and flour gradually until a soft dough forms. Knead for 5-7 minutes until smooth. Let rise in a warm place for 1 hour until doubled in size.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Filling

In a large mixing bowl, combine chopped spinach, artichoke hearts, roasted tomatoes, mushrooms, basil, cream cheese, mozzarella, parmesan, ricotta, and garlic. Mix until well combined.

  3. 3

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).

  4. 4

    Assemble the Pizza

Roll out half of the dough into a thick circle and place it in a greased pizza pan. Fill with the spinach and artichoke mixture. Roll out the second half of the dough and cover the filling. Pinch edges to seal. Brush the top with melted butter and sprinkle with romano cheese.

  5. 5

    Bake the Pizza

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the crust is golden brown. Let cool for a few minutes before slicing.

  6. 6

    Serve

Serve warm with housemade pizza sauce on the side.
