Method
Preparation
Prepare the Potatoes
Wash and cut the russet potatoes into thin fries. Soak them in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.
Season the Fries
Drain the fries, pat them dry, and toss with ranch seasoning mix until evenly coated.
Heat the Oil
In a large pot or deep fryer, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).
Fry the Potatoes
Carefully add the fries to the hot oil in batches, frying until golden brown and crispy, about 4-5 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.
Assemble the Loaded Fries
Place the hot fries on a serving platter. Sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon, and chopped green onions.
Add Ranch Dressing
Drizzle ranch dressing over the loaded fries according to your taste.
