Mac & Beer Cheese Ingredients

Method

Cooking Directions

  1. 1

    Cook the Pasta

In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  2. 2

    Make the Cheese Sauce

In the same pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Whisk in the flour and cook for about 1-2 minutes, until golden. Gradually whisk in the milk and beer, cooking until the mixture is thickened.

  3. 3

    Add the Cheese and Seasonings

Reduce heat to low. Stir in the cheddar and mozzarella cheeses until melted and smooth. Add garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and paprika, mixing well.

  4. 4

    Combine Pasta and Sauce

Add the cooked macaroni to the cheese sauce, stirring until well combined. If desired, transfer to a greased baking dish.

  5. 5

    Optional Topping

If using, sprinkle breadcrumbs over the top of the mac and cheese. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 20 minutes, or until golden and bubbly.

  6. 6

    Serve

Remove from oven, let cool slightly, and serve warm.
