Prepare the Brine
In a medium saucepan, combine water, white vinegar, and salt. Bring to a boil, stirring until the salt dissolves. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.

Prepare the Jars
Sterilize your jars and lids by boiling them in water for 10 minutes or running them through a dishwasher cycle.

Pack the Jars
In each sterilized jar, place a few sprigs of dill, a couple of garlic cloves, and a teaspoon of black peppercorns and mustard seeds. Pack the cucumbers tightly, leaving about half an inch of space at the top.

Add the Brine
Pour the hot brine over the cucumbers in each jar, ensuring they are fully submerged. If desired, add red pepper flakes for a bit of heat.
